Grain prices experienced a significant decline during the day due to technical selling and optimistic expectations of rain in the Corn Belt. Corn and soybeans were down, while wheat prices also dropped.

Today the highly-anticipated USDA Acreage report defied expectations by estimating American farmers planted over two million more acres of corn and four million fewer acres of soybeans than the department estimated in March.

USDA PROJECTS LESS SOYBEAN CRUSH, BUMING UP ENDING STOCKS

USDA released today the latest World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report. 

SOYBEANS CLOSE UP 24¢ | MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 2023

Soybeans ended a strong day of trade up 24¢. Corn closed up a penny. CBOT wheat is up 2¢.

SOYBEANS RALLY UP 15¢ AT CLOSE | WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25, 2023

Corn ended the day down 3¢. Soybeans rallied to end the day up 15¢. CBOT wheat is up 5¢. KC wheat is up 9¢.

KC WHEAT CLOSES UP 2% | FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2023

At the close, corn is nearly flat, down 0.2 of a cent. Soybeans are down 6¢. CBOT wheat closed up 8¢. KC wheat is up 17¢, over 2%.

SOYBEANS REGAIN THE WEEK'S LOSSES AT CLOSE | FRIDAY, JANUARY 6, 2023

Soybeans closed up 21¢ to end the week at $14.92, regaining the losses since Tuesday’s close. 

CORN CLOSES DOWN 16¢ | WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2023

March corn ended the day down 16¢ to $6.55. Soybeans started the day up, but ended down 7¢.

After being down this morning, CBOT wheat finished the day up 16¢. KC wheat finished up 8¢. Minneapolis wheat is up 5¢. 

WHEAT FINISHES UP 49¢ | OCTOBER 31, 2022

Wheat futures finished the day strong with CBOT wheat up 49¢ and KC wheat up 48¢. Minneapolis wheat is up 26¢.
